The Graduate Diploma of Counselling is based upon a coherent common body of knowledge, skills and professional and ethical values. It focuses on the integration of theory and practice as well the student’s development as a reflective practitioner in the field of counselling.

Units are designed to provide students with a depth of knowledge in counselling theories, practice concepts, research and practical skills relevant to working with people in a variety of contexts. The units utilise and build upon the theories and knowledge students have gained from either their undergraduate studies or personal and professional life experience.
