Teletutorials provide an opportunity for students and educators to engage in a real-time conversation via telephone. The Teletutorial is an extremely valuable session where you can ask lots of questions about assessments and other content related matters!
Flexible Delivery students undertaking Higher Education courses are given the opportunity to participate in a Teletutorial for each Unit they are enrolled in.
In the first few weeks of term, your educator will let you know when the Teletutorial has been scheduled. Your educator will ask you to RSVP.
Teletutorials run for approximately 40 minutes and are held at times that we have found suit the majority of students. Please ensure you check the time zone as ACAP educators and students are located throughout many different areas.
If you call from a landline, it will be a free call to a 1800 number. Users of mobile phones may incur a fee at the discretion of their provider. Mobile phones are also not recommended due to interfence and background noise. If you do not have access to a phone or want to avoid mobile expenses, you can dial in using Skype.
Before the scheduled day your educator will provide you with a passcode which gives you access to the call. Please ensure you have this passcode on hand before the Teletutorial as you will not be able to enter the call without it.
Step 1 -Dial In - At the time and date specified by your educator dial 1800 640 341. Remember to check the time zone!
Step 2 - Enter the Passcode - When prompted enter the 6 digit participant passcode (provided by your educator) and then press #. (If you do not have the passcode, you will not be able to enter the call.)
Step 3 - Join the call - Once you have entered the passcode, you will be placed into the call. You may be put on hold for a short time until your educator dials in.
*If you have any problems, press *0 to speak to an operator. This can be done before being placed into a call or during the call.
*Self Mute Feature *6 - Enables students to mute their individual lines to reduce background noise by pressing *6 on their telephone keypad. Ideal for participants on mobile phones or speaker phones. Key *6 to Un-mute.
